Driving from Connecticut
From the Merritt Parkway
(Hwy 15) going south:
When coming from Eastern Connecticut, we recommend taking the Merritt
Parkway (Highway 15) South. Take Exit 44 (Fairfield/Redding), end exit
ramp, and go toward Redding—look for Rt. 58. Turn right onto Rt.
58 North (same as Black Rock Turnpike) and continue for about a 25-minute
scenic drive until you come to Rt. 107 (the same as Putnam Park Road).
Turn left onto Rt. 107 (South) and follow for less than a quarter of a
mile. The number 30 is on the mailbox on the left just beyond the driveway.
If you reach a "T" intersection you have gone too far. Turn
around and go back about 150 ft.
From Brookfield Connecticut:
Take Rt. 25 or Stony Hill Rd. South. Once you reach Rt. 6, if coming from
Stony Hill Rd., go straight across Rt. 6 onto Old Hawleyville Rd. If coming
from Rt. 25, go right onto Rt. 6, then left onto Old Hawleyville Rd. Take
Old Hawleyville to Plumtrees Rd. Take right onto Plumtrees. Take left
onto Judd Rd. opposite the Police Station. Follow up the hill to Rt. 58
(same as Black Rock Turnpike). Take Rt. 58 (South) to Rt. 107 South. Make
a right and follow Rt. 107 South for less than a quarter of a mile. The
number 30 is on the mailbox on the left just beyond the driveway. If you
reach a "T" intersection you have gone too far. Turn around
and go back about 150 ft.
Traveling 84 West (off
Exit 9):
Get off I-84 at Exit 9. Take a left at the ramp to the 1st stop light.
At the light, take a right onto Rt. 6. At next light take a left onto
Old Hawleyville. At 3rd stop sign take a right onto Rt. 302. Follow Rt.
302 to Bethel and make a left onto Chestnut Ridge Road (it might also
be called Chestnut Street at this point). There will be a fork in the
road almost immediately - be sure to take the left fork. Chestnut Ridge
Road becomes Lonetown Road. After following along this curvy road for
about 7 minutes, you come to an intersection with Rt. 107. Make a left
here onto Rt. 107 in the direction of Putnam Park (Rt. 107 is the same
as Putnam Park Road). DNKL is on your right about 150 ft. past the intersection.
The driveway is just past the mailbox with the number 30 on it.
Traveling 84 East (off
Exit 5, Danbury):
Get off I-84 at Exit 5, go straight after the stop sign and take a right
at first light onto Rt. 53 South (which is Main St.). Follow signs for
Rt. 53 South for approximately 3 miles. Rt. 53 makes many turns and goes
through the center of Danbury, so keep looking for the Rt. 53 signs. As
you come into Bethel, you will intersect East Rt. 302 at a traffic light.
(This is also Greenwood Ave.) Go left onto East Rt. 302. Follow East Rt.
302 through the town of Bethel until you get to the stoplight intersection
with Chestnut Ridge Road just past the Bethel Food Market on the right.
Make a right onto Chestnut Ridge Road (it might also be called Chestnut
Street at this point). There will be a fork in the road almost immediately
- be sure to take the left fork. Chestnut Ridge Road becomes Lonetown
Road. After following along this curvy road for about 7 minutes, you come
to an intersection with Rt. 107 (which is the same as Putnam Park Road).
Make a left here onto Rt. 107 in the direction of Putnam Park (Rt. 107
is the same as Putnam Park Road). DNKL is on your right about 150 ft.
past the intersection. The driveway is just past the mailbox with the
number 30 on it. |
