Driving from Connecticut

Driving from New York

Taking Metro North

Driving from New York

If you're leaving from Manhattan, take the FDR North to Willis Avenue/3rd Avenue Bridge (no toll) or the Triborough Bridge (toll) to 87 North in the Bronx. Follow 87 North until you get to the Cross County Parkway (not the Cross Bronx Parkway). Take the Cross County to the Hutchinson River Parkway North (exit on the left!). The Hutchinson River becomes the Merritt Parkway (a/k/a Rt.15) once you cross the border into Connecticut.

If you take the Merritt Parkway, Take ONE of the TWO options BELOW:

1) Take Merritt Parkway North (Rt.15) and take Exit 44 (Fairfield/Redding), end exit ramp, and go toward Redding - look for Rt. 58. Turn left onto Rt. 58 North (same as Black Rock Turnpike) and continue for about a 25 minute scenic drive until you hit Rt. 107 (which is the same as Putnam Park Road). Make a left onto Rt. 107 (South) and follow for less than a quarter of a mile. The number 30 is on the mailbox on the left just beyond the driveway. If you reach a "T" intersection you have gone too far. Turn around and go back about 150 ft.

2) While on the Merritt Parkway, about 20 minutes into Connecticut, you should be reaching the town of Norwalk. Take the exit for Rt. 7 (North) toward Danbury. Follow Rt. 7 North for about 11 miles. Be careful - at the very beginning, Rt. 7 will "T" into another road and you have to make a left turn (you will immediately pass a DMV building on the right). When you reach Georgetown, make a right onto Rt. 107. Follow Rt. 107, a windy, country road, for about 7 miles. Be careful to stay on 107—at the crossroads with Rt. 53 you have to make a slight turn when you would think that 107 would go straight. After driving on 107 for about 12-15 minutes, you should see a large country club with a pond and manicured lawns to your left. Right after the country club you will come to a stop sign. Make a right at the stop sign onto Putnam Park Road. DNKL is the first residence on the right, about 150 ft. past the intersection. The driveway is just past the mailbox with the number 30 on it.

From New York City, Taking I-95/New England Thruway:
Take Willis Avenue/Third Avenue Bridge or Triborough Bridge to 278 North to Bruckner Expressway (I-278) to I-95 North (New England Thruway). In Connecticut, take Exit 15 for Rt.

From New York City, Taking the Saw Mill River Parkway to Rt. 684:
Another option is to take the Saw Mill River Parkway to Rt. 684 to Rt. 84 to Danbury and approach DNKL from the West. This alternative is longer in miles, but can be quicker because less traveled.
Get off I-84 at Exit 5, go straight after the stop sign and take a right at first light onto Rt. 53 South (which is Main St.). Follow signs for Rt. 53 South for approximately 3 miles. Rt. 53 makes many turns and goes through the center of Danbury, so keep looking for the Rt. 53 signs. As you come into Bethel, you will intersect East Rt. 302 at a traffic light. (This is also Greenwood Ave.) Go left onto East Rt. 302. Follow East Rt. 302 through the town of Bethel until you get to the stoplight intersection with Chestnut Ridge Road just past the Bethel Food Market on the right. Make a right onto Chestnut Ridge Road (it might also be called Chestnut Street at this point). There will be a fork in the road almost immediately - be sure to take the left fork. Chestnut Ridge Road becomes Lonetown Road. After following along this curvy road for about 7 minutes, you come to an intersection with Rt. 107 (which is the same as Putnam Park Road). Make a left here onto Rt. 107 in the direction of Putnam Park (Rt. 107 is the same as Putnam Park Road). DNKL is on your right about 150 ft. past the intersection. The driveway is just past the mailbox with the number 30 on it.
