DNKL offers classes and training in Buddhist moral discipline, meditative concentration, and transformative wisdom.

DNKL is located in rural Connecticut and is surrounded by 100 acres of woods, rolling meadows, streams, and ponds. Outdoor Photo Gallery

About 65 miles from New York City, DNKL offers Dharma classes and retreats on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and meditation. Additionally, there are special events throughout the year. DNKL is also available for personal retreats.

DNKL comprises a portion of the original estate of John Read, after whom the town of Redding (CT) took its name, and was the former residence of Martha and Maurice Pate, two visionaries dedicated to the cause of world peace. Maurice Pate was the founding director of UNICEF, the United Nation's Children's Fund, and Martha Lucas Pate was a scholar of religion and philosophy and president of Sweet Briar College.

DNKL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

In keeping with Buddhist tradition, all Dharma classes at DNKL are free. However, it takes real money to keep the Center going day to day.
Your tax-deductible contributions to support DNKL are always welcome.
